360 Car Photography Equipment

To begin taking 360 car photography with Glo3D, the only equipment required is a smartphone, both Android and iOS will work.

We recommend about 4-6 steps of space around your car to complete the walkaround and create your 360 spin. If you’re limited on space, your smartphone camera should have an ultra wide-angle lens so you can successfully keep the car within frame.

As you walk around the car our software will automatically capture 24 frames of the car and stitch them together. You technically do not need any stabilizer as our AI algorithm will automatically align and scale the vehicle. That said, if you would like to have a smoother movement, you can choose to use car photography equipment like a gimbal (stabilizer) to help. We recommend using the Insta360 Flow or DJI Osmo 4.

360 Camera and Monopod for Car Photography

Any other brand (like GoPro Max) can also be used but you will need to take the 360-photo using the camera’s native app. From there you will just have to import the photo into our app during the interior photography step.

Additionally, we do recommend the use of a monopod which will elevate the 360 camera to eye level. This will create a much nicer perspective for the interior view rather than having the camera sit very low on the car.
